Motorola Milestone Unlocking
The Motorola Milestone was a major risk for Motorola as it had failed before at launching windows cell phones. Everyone knows that traditional Motorola looked to focus on the flip phone market in which they were very successful. This was something that we focussed on as a business and Motorola Milestone Unlock was a natural evolution for us at The Phone Unlockers. A great looking phone with Slider technology as opposed to “flip” the phone was released at the end of 2009.
US Launch
Verizon fundamentally promoted the new Droid phone as an Apple iphone-competitor and another option for people to choose. Launched on the seventeenth of October, 2009 it was advertised on the television and online as "entertainingly combative". Listing features that simply were not there on the iApple alternative, for example "iDon't multitask", and then cleverly revealing the name of the Motorola Droid in the final clip of the advert, reading "Droid Does". Of course we could say that we can Unlock Motorola Milestone. At the official launch on the twenty eighth of October, Verizon's Chief Marketing Officer said the the advertising was a spoof of Apple's iPhone ads, intended to "wake up the market." If only we could have included a frame which showed us allowing consumers to unlock the phone as well.
Taking it to the competition
The launch in the United states included an interactive experience called "Droid Does” held in Time Square. This unique experience allowed people to control the Nasdaq and Reuters electronic billboards in Times Square by using voice commands (searching by voice is a primary Android feature). This was available via the Droid Does Web page or in the square in New York city itself. By this time we had already tested Motorola Milestone Unlocking service and had the webpage online with users on the email list. The early release date in November of the Droid came just three weeks after Google and Verizon announced that they had entered into an agreement to jointly develop wireless devices based on the Android mobile platform. Verizon said at the time that it planned to have two Android-based phones in 2010 the other one being HTC Driod Eris a modification to the successful Hero handset.
Unlock Motorola Milestone
One company reported In November 2009 that it estimated that 250,000 Motorola Droid phones were sold in the United States during the phone's first week. That is a huge number and a massive success story for Motorola. We are happy that we could offer the service to nearly a thousand customers in that time also! And of course we can unlock any HTC handset so the other android phone is not a problem either.
